Jasper Hill Farm
So Much Little Hosmer
The Cellars - Little Hosmer.
Deep in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, where the landscape is as wild and beautiful as its name suggests, lies Jasper Hill Farm. More than just a cheesemaker, it's a mission-driven enterprise dedicated to revitalizing the region’s agricultural heritage. Their work is a celebration of "terroir"—a belief that the land, climate, and local traditions are all woven into the final product.
Little Hosmer is a testament to this philosophy. Named after a beloved local pond where the Kehler brothers (the farm's founders) spent their childhood summers, this small, bloomy-rind cheese is a new-world take on Brie. Beneath its delicate, downy rind is a gooey, milky core. The flavor is a beautiful balance of richness and brightness, with notes of crème fraîche, toasted nuts, and a subtle hint of white mushroom and cauliflower. It's a cheese that’s both approachable and complex—a little slice of a place made with love and a deep respect for the land.
