Projects.
I am a foodie and beer & wine lover. I love culinary hospitality, and the blessing of taking care of people. I am an educator at heart, who loves teaching beer & food, and the intricate academics of beer & wine. I have a well-trained sensory palate, and more beer information in my head than I ever thought imaginable. I was knighted in 2023 by the Belgian Brewers Paddle. I am an International BJCP Judge and Advanced Cicerone®.
I am a manager, mentor, leader, and decision maker. I have strong interpersonal skills in human resources, employee relations, and customer success. I have managed many aspects of large teams, such as hiring, teaching & training, scheduling, and resource development. I am tech savvy in SaaS, e-commerce, web design, marketing platforms, CRM, Microsoft & Google suites, and very much love spreadsheets. I know enough about most computers to be dangerous and stay thirsty.
In any work I do, I am always looking to apply my world class management, business, leadership, marketing, and hospitality & customer service excellence, alongside my understanding of people, human interactions, conflict & mediation training, cultural appreciation, love of travel, passion for beer & food, and dedication to the new world of technology to my work. Travel, for work or any project is welcomed and exciting.
For the past decade and a half, I’ve worked for myself. While rewarding, at times, the hours and work/life balance can be skewed. I currently work for Park Street Imports, handling aspects of alcohol compliance for brands entering the United States, and moving their product across various states. I split my time between three locations in the US and travel for beer fairly often.
Yes, I have some extensive business and management experience, as well as a deep love and respect for marketing. I know beverages (particulary beer), restaurants, and retail better than most and love developing menus, recipes, manuals, and nailing down supply chain muck. What am I most passionate about? Beer, drinks education, digital marketing, and lifestyle photography. I’m a maker and a maven, and look forward to connecting.
While I love taking on extra projects, my time for 2026 is largely spoken for, as I spend a great deal of my time harnessing the knowledge needed for the Master Cicerone® Exam (October 19-20, 2026). If you have a project you’d like my assistance with, please send me the details - we can get it on the calendar for later this year or early 2027.
